Tom Scarnecchia

With 40+ years as a biopharmaceutical industry technology executive and consultant, he is an industry leader in building national level data ecosystems for research and building organizations that drive innovation.
Tom’s executive experience includes co-founding Digital Aurora; VP Corporate Informatics at Millennium Pharmaceuticals; VP, CIO, and Board Member for Johnson & Johnson’s R. W. Johnson Pharmaceutical Research Institute; Director of Research Information Systems for J&J’s Janssen Research Foundation; and head of systems engineering and software engineering for Pfizer’s Lederle Laboratories. Tom holds a Bachelors in Biology and a Masters Degree in Computer Science from Pace University.
Mark Sutherlin
As Chief Scientific Officer, Mark is responsible for Digital Aurora’s research series covering real world data strategies, clinical trial innovation, and sports medicine.
Prior to joining Digital Aurora, Inc., Mark was an Assistant Professor at the State University of New York (SUNY) College at Cortland, where he taught in both the undergraduate and graduate programs within the Kinesiology Department. Mark received his undergraduate degree from the University of Evansville, has a master’s degree from the University of Florida, and received his doctoral degree from the University of Virginia.
